Home Alone 2: Lost in New York ending explained (spoilers)

Kevin catches the bad guys stealing the money from Duncan's Toy Chest and breaks a window to sound the alarm. The bad guys follow Kevin to an abandoned house in which he has set up booby traps. After nearly defeating them, Kevin calls the police and almost escapes when the burglars catch him and take him to Central Park with the intention of killing him. Kevin is rescued by the Pigeon Lady, the crooks are arrested and the money is returned. Kevin's mom finds him at the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center and takes him back to the hotel where in the morning they find a ton of presents from Mr. Duncan. Kevin sneaks out to wish a merry Christmas to the Pigeon Lady, giving her one of his turtle dove figurines. Kevin's father receives a bill for lots of money that Kevin spent and he screams.
