Battle Royale ending explained (spoilers)

Sensei- He is killed off screen by the government for opposing the selection of his class for Battle Royale Fujiyoshi - When she won't stop talking during a video presentation Kitano throws a knife into her head Nobu - Killed when he attacks Kitano. Kitano beats him and activates his collar, which blows his head off. Tendo - She is shot through the throat with a bow and arrow minutes after the game begins Akamatsu -Accidentally shoots himself in the chest with his own bow and arrow, which he drops, and is retrieved by Nida. Kuronaga, Sasagawa, Tsukioka, Numai, and Kanai- This group surround Kiriyama to interrogate him, but he manages to disarm one of them of their machine gun, guns down the entire group, and takes their weapons (minus a pair of nunchucks, for which he has no use). Ogawa and Yamamoto - The young lovers jump off a cliff to their death, rather than play the game. Megumi - Killed by Mitsuko, who slits Megumi's throat with a scythe Kuramoto and Yoshimi - Another pair who commit suicide via hanging themselves rather than play the game Oki - Attacks Nanahara and, while the two roll down a hill, his head is smashed by his own hatchet. Unclear if Nanahara accidentally killed him. Motobuchi - Is shot by Kawada after he attacks an unarmed Nanahara and Nakagawa Kusaka and Yukiko - Attract attention to themselves while using a megaphone to try and peacefully assemble their classmates. Kiriyama finds them and guns them down. Hirono - Attacks Mitsukowith a pistol for killing Megumi,but is disarmed and shot in the back by Mitsuko. Nida -Stabbed and castrated by Chigusa after he threatens to rape her and accidentally wounds her. Chigusa - Dies in Hiroki's arms after she is wounded by Mitsuko, who attacks her as she is stabbing Nida. Warns Hiroki that Mitsuko is deranged. Oda- Shot by Kiriyama, but survives due to a bullet-proof vest. He gets up too soon and is decapitated by Kiriyama, who also wields a samurai sword. Kiriyama stuffs a grenade in Oda's mouth and throws the head at Nanahara, Nakagawa and Kawada. Mizuho and Kaori - Kill each other off-screen (possibly commit suicide). Takiguchi and Hatagami - While it is unclear what happened as they die off-screen, it appears that Mitsuko seduced them and killed them while engaged in a three-way. Yuka- Accidentally poisoned by Yuko, who meant to poison Nanahara for killing Oki (she thought Nanahara killed Oki on purpose). Yuko's actions cause her fellow friends to become paranoid and violent. Satomi, Chisato, Haruka, andUtsumi - Kill each otherin a gunfight caused by Yuko's poisoning of her Yuka. They all blame each other for betraying the group. Yuko - Survives the gunbattle, but leaps off a lighhouse to her death after her actionscaused the death of all her friends. Hiroki - Shot by Kotohiki when she thought he was coming to kill her. With his dying breath, he admits he secretly loved her and searched for her to protect her. Kotohiki - Shot in the back by Mitsuko while mourning Hiroki. Mitsuko - Shot several times in the chest by Kiriyama after almost killing him (he survives thanks to his bullet proof vest). She dies stating she just didn't want to be a loser anymore. Ijima, Mimura, and Yutaka - They successfully assemble a bomb and hack into the Battle Royale system. As they go to drive the bomb into the Battle Royale HQ, Kiriyama attacks and slays them all. Mimura manages to set off the bomb in an unsuccessful attempt to kill Kiriyama. Kiriyama - He is blinded by the bomb set off by Mimura. Kawada decides to confront him and, although Kawada is injured, he manages to shoot Kiriyama's collar, which blows his head off. Kitano- Suicidal, he tricks Nanahara into shooting him dead (Nanahara does so to preserve Nakagawa's innocence since Kitano wanted to die at her hands). Kawada - He escapes the island with Nanahara and Nakagawa, but succumbs to his injuries on the way back to the mainland. He dies happy to have protected and befriended the pair.

Kawada, Shuya and Noriko are the only 3 students remaining. Kawada seems to turn on them and apparently kills them, and is then announced the winner. But somehow he tricked Kitano, and Shuya and Noriko are still alive and all 3 confront him. Shuya thinks that Kitano is going to kill Noriko and kills him first. They take a boat off the island, but Kawada dies on the way. Shuya and Noriko become fugitives, wanted for the murder of Kitano.
