The Bourne Supremacy ending explained (spoilers)



  • Ward Abbot kills himself when he finds out he will be incriminated in the extortion scheme. Bourne is tailed by the Russian agent Kirill. He crashes his car into Kirill's car, almost killing him. Bourne leaves him there. Then he goes to Irena Neski's house and tells her how he killed her parents. Pams tells Jason that his real name is David Webb and he was born in Missouri.

  • Carl helps Kevin and Russell. Charles Muntz, while chasing Kevin, gets caught on some strings from Carl and Ellies house and then plummets down below. Ellie and Carls house floats down to Paradise Falls. Kevin goes back to taking care of the baby birds. Carl takes control of Muntzs zeppelin and heads to the U.S. with Russell, Dug and all of Muntzs dogs. At the scout ceremony, Russell gets the badge for assisting the elderly and Carl gives him the grape cap that Ellie gave him when they first met. Russell and Carl sit outside an ice cream place and count cars. The last scene is Carl and Ellies house sitting at Paradise Falls.

  • Muntz (Christopher Plummer) has been using the dogs to find the mysterious bird. Dug brings back Kevin, the bird that had been following Russell and Carl. Carl (Edward Asner) sees his childhood hero for the crazy person he has become, and decides to go back to moving his house to the waterfall to fulfill his wifes dream. Russell goes back to save Kevin.

    While sitting where he and his wife Ellie used to sit, Carl looks through her adventure book, and finds a section he hadnt seen before, which is filled with pictures of the two of them from their childhood, through marriage, up until before she died. It is signed, Thanks for my greatest adventure. Now go out and have a new one. So Carl ditches furniture and appliances to allow the balloons to lift his house, which he steers after Muntzs zeppelin. In the struggle to save Kevin, Dug defeats Alpha, the leader of the dogs, and thus takes his position.

    While struggling with Carl, Muntz gets his leg caught in the ropes of some of the balloons attached to the house, and falls to his doom. Carls house also begins to slowly plummet back to Paradise Falls. Carl and Russell return Kevin to her babies, and then head home with all of the dogs. Carl presents Russell with his helping the elderly badge, as well as the bottlecap badge Ellie had given him when they first met.

    Carl and Russell are then seen having ice cream on the curb, and the credits suggest that Carl and Russell gave all the dogs good homes.
