Although Jodie Foster refused to come back to make any cameo in the remake after Mark Waters asked her, she even told the media she "didn't want to be in Freaky Friday", Mark McClure, who played her boyfriend Boris in the original, did come back; playing the same character! (His character is named Boris again!). Incidentally, McClure is the only star from the original to make an appearance in the reboot.

The second remake which Lindsay Lohan appears in. She starred in The Parent Trap (1998) as a remake for the 1961 original and Freaky Friday (1976).

Dina Lohan: The mother of Lindsay Lohan, Dina is in the end scene when Anna is dancing with Jake. She is in the background dancing with an older gentleman, and looks directly at the camera.

Chad Michael Murray (Jake) and Julie Gonzalo (Stacy) later worked together on A Cinderella Story (2004) in similar roles. Murray was again cast as the main character's love interest, while Gonzalo was again cast as the main character's rival. "McGuire" star Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan had a rivalry during this period, and apparently, Duff, losing out on this role, demanded that her show get "Freaky" for one installment.
