There are two editions for the soundtrack album.When the soundtrack album for Bird Box, made by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, was released about two weeks after the film's release, Trent Reznor said in a statement the Nine Inch Nails website: "For those interested, we will be releasing a more expansive (read: more self-indulgent) physical only offering this spring, that will contain an additional hour of music and artwork that colors further outside the lines". The soundtrack that was released in January 2019, was indeed called "Bird Box (Abridged)", but months went by and the expanded version release was delayed, leaving fans wondering when will it actually be released. Finally, on November 22, out of the blue, the full version of the soundtrack was released on Nine Inch Nails's website, exclusively on vinyl (with a digital download at purchase). It contains 13 extra tracks and an extra hour of music.
