When watching the film, especially after seeing David Suchet playing the title role in ITV's tv version of the "Agatha Christie's Poirot"/"Poirot", its clear that David Suchet's earlier accent for Jacques LaFleur, is very similar, or more accurately Hercules Poirot sounds like Jacques LaFleur. This adds a curious vibe to the film as if its Poirot hunting Harry, and additionally gives an extra layer to a later "Poirot" in-joke vibe as to why people keep thinking Poirot is French, not Belgian.
