Leonidas's necklace has a wolf's tooth on it. He faced a wolf as part of his training at the beginning of the movie.

After three days of fighting and killing more than 20,000 Persians, all Spartans are killed. As a final act of defiance, Leonidas bows to Xerxes just before throwing a spear at him, which narrowly misses Xerxes's head and cuts his face, saluting his queen before thousands of arrows rain down on him. Queen Gorgo stabs and kills Theron in revenge for rape and exposes him as a traitor. Dilios (the one-eyed Spartan) leads 30,000 Greeks against 40,000 Persians in a final battle for Leonidas.
